Techniques We use

Dry Needling

A highly effective technique used to release muscle tension and deactivate trigger points.

Fine, sterile needles are inserted into tight or sore areas to promote blood flow, reduce pain, and improve range of motion.

This method is particularly helpful for chronic pain, sports injuries, and tension headaches.

IASTM

Using specialised tools, IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) helps break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue.

This technique enhances tissue healing and flexibility, especially after repetitive strain injuries or surgery.

It’s beneficial for conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and shoulder impingement.

Cupping

Cupping uses negative pressure to lift and separate soft tissue layers, encouraging blood circulation and relieving deep muscular tension.

It can leave temporary marks on the skin but provides noticeable relief from tightness, stiffness, and postural stress.

At K-Flow Therapy,
your treatment may include a range of advanced techniques, based on your individual condition and therapy goals. These are included in the session cost at no extra charge for remedial and sports massage.

Myofascial Release

A hands-on technique that gently stretches the fascia (connective tissue) to reduce pain and improve mobility.

It's especially effective for clients with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, or restricted movement.

Sports Taping

Elastic or rigid taping is applied to support joints and muscles during recovery or physical activity.

It helps prevent further injury, reduces swelling, and promotes functional movement without restricting mobility.

All techniques are applied by qualified practitioners with training in musculoskeletal and sports care.

Our remedial therapists hold advanced dry needling qualifications, which are renewed every 3 years to stay up to date with the latest standards.
In addition, our remedial therapists hold a Level 1 Sports Trainer certification and have hands-on experience
providing sports taping and injury support through their work with local sports clubs.

This ensures every session is safe, effective, and tailored to your treatment plan.
